Dane Gillibrand

Dane Gillibrand was born in South Africa and educated at St Johns College, where he discovered his love of music and film. He took up the guitar and never looked back.  After college, Dane ravelled the world and lived and worked in the USA, where he studied film and music.  He played in various bands in Florida and California while he pursued a career in audio and music production, primarily for the film industry.

Returning to South Africa in 2004, Dane intended to continue his career in film but, after a computer crash, where he lost all his music, he was at a loss.  Discovering an old piano in a corner of the house, Dane started to play – and discovered his true passion.  Immersing himself in playing the piano, he became an accomplished pianist, playing everything from jazz to classical music.  Dane had found his true purpose in life.

TLC Piano was started in 2005 and Dane is able to use this platform to meet fellow musicians and to help budding pianists to discover the joy of the piano.

Dane has an extensive network of musicians and technicians who he can call on when needed.
